Dispatch From Costa Mesa: Sidecar Announces Opening and Greenleaf Gets Busy



Sidecar who? Ah, yes. The buzz going around in December was Sidecar Doughnuts' test kitchen cranking out full-sized samples for anyone who could get up at 8 a.m. on a Saturday. We were originally told a January launch date. Then we waited. And waited. And then it dropped off our radar.

After months of (almost) patiently waiting, even reporting on its neighbors at Pie-Not, we received the news about its opening day. And it's rapidly approaching.

We've also got an update on über-healthy and tasty Greenleaf Gourmet Chophouse. Already working on a second location at the OC Mix, the owners have announced a June completion. We were liking the turkey Benedict just last week. Will there be another wine bar? Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day? Stay tuned!
