You probably have your favorite neighborhood thrift store to drop off a bag of used clothing or a donation truck that picks up items you leave at the curb, but when you are in a need of refuge for a whole garage or house full of old crap, the best place for one-stop dropping (off) is the large Goodwill complex of buildings in Santa Ana. Besides the traditional lot where you can leave boxes of (tax-deductible) donated items, there is a separate building for computer electronics and a big, covered, fenced-in area for major appliances. Once your truck bed is empty, fill it up again thanks to the Goodwill Store that's also on-site.
