Long before the Interwebs were awash with lists like “Top 10 Squeaky Cat Toys” and “Top 25 Geeky Video Game Comic Book D&D Tie-Ins,” the FBI was issuing its top 10 lists of most-wanted criminals.
Perhaps you've even seen them at the post office.
The long arm of the bureau extends beyond the 50 U.S. states. In cooperation with Interpol, the FBI also lists the top 10 wanted criminals believed to have fled the country. Ironically, three on the current round-up allegedly committed crimes in Orange County.
]
First, to meet all 10 fugitives, check out the FBI website.
John McDonald of the Orange County Sheriff's Department Public Affairs office made the local connection, and he isolates those locals on the lam on the OCSD website.
All wanted for unlawful
flight to avoid prosecution, the local baddies are:
- a schizophrenic who tried to kill and elderly woman and her son with a knife in Huntington Beach. He speaks English but is believed to be hiding out in a Spanish-speaking country;
- a tattoed Vietnamese fellow who allegedly shot and killed two restaurant patrons in Garden Grove before trying to kill an unarmed security guard. He's likely in Vietnam;
- and, a former choir director who is accused of performing sex acts on a 13-year-old boy in Buena Park. He could be hiding out in Norway or the Bahamas.
Bachelor No. 1 is considered armed and dangerous, Bachelor No. 2 is considered armed and extremely dangerous and Bachelor No. 3 is one sick pup.
If you have
information about any or all of these fellows, contact your local FBI
office. To perhaps help jog your memory, here are their respective Interpol pages:
