2nd Annual Noise Festival
Art and music collide this week with the Annual Noise Festival now in its second year. The Noise music genre—not just the racket coming from your 12-year-old neighbor’s garage band…or maybe it is—is an umbrella term used to describe any number of avant garde styles of music. Because sometimes you just can’t slap a label on art. The roster includes Tainonegro, Phog Masheen, Just One Ghost, Riververb, Sunken Landscapes and about a dozen more bands. There’ll be art and food, plus a screening of the film Cinema Noise by GX Jupiter-Larsen (of legendary noise band The Haters). So come on out an expand your aural horizons.
