In this extreme theater competition (yes, there is such a thing), the participating contestants will literally eat, sleep and breath theater for an entire 24 hours. Starting at 8 p.m. Friday evening, six playwrights and six directors come together with more than 40 actors, and once given a secret theme, they must conceive a 10-minute play from start to finale—that means writing a script, creating a set, selecting wardrobe, and doing as many rehearsals as possible before 8 p.m. on Saturday when the curtains draw to a live audience.
