See the update at the end of this post about the 2 1/2-year-old girl being found with her father in an Anaheim motel, where the dad was arrested.
ORIGINAL POST, JUNE 5, 10:47 A.M.: Anyone seen a 6-foot-2, 290-pound, 35-year-old Romanian man?
(Or want to?)
This one may be easier to spot as he is allegedly dragging with him a 2 1/2-year-old girl Placentia Police would like to reunite with her mother.
Indeed, an Amber Alert was issued for Natalia Nicholas after a “domestic violence incident” led to her napping from the Best Western at 118 E. Orangethorpe Ave., Placentia, around 4:30 a.m., according to Kirsten Rowe of the Placentia Police Department.
Tony Nicholas, Natalia's father, is accused of taking her. He is further described as having black hair and brown eyes, and he could be driving his daughter to Las Vegas in a blue 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, license number 80742A1.
Anyone with information that can help locate the girl is asked to call the CHP at 949.559.7888, but anyone who sees the man, the girl or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately.
UPDATE, JUNE 5, 12:21 P.M.: Natalia Nicholas was found safe at the Comfort Inn, 1251 N. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, about 11:30 a.m., according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Bob Dunn.
Her father, Tony Nicholas, was taken into custody, Dunn added.
Placentia Police have clarified that Natalia was not present for the “domestic violence incident” between the elder Nicholas and his wife in that city. Nicholas allegedly took the woman's purse by force, threatened to take his daughter to Las Vegas and then picked the 2 1/2-year-old girl up from a second location, prompting the Amber Alert.
