“10 Days of Spain” at Marché Moderne Through 5/1

OC's finest French restaurant has gone sub-Pyrenées for ten days to celebrate their third anniversary.

Through May 1st, Marché Moderne will be celebrating the flavors of Spain with a special menu. A huge list of tapas, ranging from Spanish cheeses to preserved white anchovies, from the glories of Spanish ham to salt cod fritters.

Paellas are on the menu, too, as well as a Basque-influenced rack of lamb with piperade (onions, peppers and tomatoes cooked down with red Espelette pepper) and simple Catalan and Basque desserts.

Even the wine list has gone temporarily español (or catalá) with six mostly Catalonian wine specials by the glass. If you've never had cava, the northern Spanish answer to Champagne, this is the time to try it.
