What: Pumpkins are ready for picking–and subsequently, eating and carving into celebrities. Choose the one you want to take home, and pay by the pound.

What: In honor of Vegetarian Day (are you one?), The Counter is offer a free mini veggie burger with any burger purchase.
When: Sat., all day 
Where: The Counter (which has OC locations in Irvine and Newport Beach)
Cost: Buy one, get one free. 
What: Chelo kababs, salad shirazi and mehregan ice cream. More than 20 restaurants come together for this annual Persian food fest.  
When: Sat. and Sun., 11 a.m.-11 p.m. 
Where: Lakeside Lagoon Park, 8800 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine
Cost: $30 
What: Taste foods from 50 different cultures without having to renew your passport. 
When: Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Where: Bill Barber Park, Irvine
Cost: Free admission

What: It's so intense. Cismontane Brewing releases its rare nano beer, the Double Rainbow IPA. What does it mean?? 
When: Sat., noon.-8 p.m.
Where: Cismontane Brewing, Rancho Santa Margarita
Cost: Free admission. Wear rainbow attire or bring in a picture of a rainbow and get your first beer for $2.
