[UPDATE: Protest is THIS FRIDAY] Coalition of Immokalee Workers in Town to Explain Campaign Against Trader Joe's

UPDATE: Protest is THIS FRIDAY. More information at the CIW's website--see you there!

Original post Oct. 10, 10:30 a.m.: Earlier this summer, we reported on an anti-Trader Joe's campaign launched by the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, those Florida-based mensches who have done more to combat the factories in the field since the United Farm Workers. Their West Coast headquarters, of course, is Orange County, and that's where they're going to be for the next couple of weeks, in anticipation of an Oct. 21 rally outside Trader Joe's headquarters in Monrovia.

Want to know more about the campaign? The CIW will have a public lecture on the subject this week.
]

It'll happen this Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the
I.B.E.W. Hall
(309 N. Rampart St., Suite M
Orange). Local supporters housing the CIW for the week is the Orange County Labor Federation, UFCW Local 324, El Centro Cultural de México, CLUE
Orange County, Los Amigos de Orange County, and the Orange County Interfaith Committee to Aid
Farmworkers. See you there!
