UPDATE: Clay Oven And Zov's Welcome Guest Chefs

UPDATE: As of Thursday afternoon, there are still four spots available for Clay Oven's epic guest chef event on October 8. Didn't you lose a bet and owe someone dinner?

Geeta Bansal is no stranger to our food blog. Chef, journalist, parent and overall busy lady, her plate is perpetually full of events and travel. An institution in Irvine, Clay Oven's chef network is an impressive list of local and international friends. We're always interested in what's coming up next.

The same can also be said about Zov Karamardian. With five locations throughout Orange County, her restaurant portfolio would make any chef envious. Respected in the industry, their flagship bistro/bakery + cafe/marketplace in Tustin is a perfect example of her talent. With that much experience, it's obvious Zov and Geeta know how to throw a special event.

On September 12th, Chef Zov opens her kitchen to Simon Majumdar. A regular on Food Network, he will be promoting his new book, Fed, White, and Blue . Spend the morning getting to know more about Simon, all while he whips up some dishes worthy of Zov's approval.

Thursday, October 8 marks the beginning of Clay Oven's guest chef dinners. Her first visitor oversees location #11 on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list. Chef Mauro Colagreco of Mirazur in France will join Geeta in the kitchen for a rare treat. Experience a six-course dinner fit for royalty.

Reservations for both events are limited (and $$$$), so call ahead to secure a seat. You might also want to start shopping for some stretchy pants.
