Save The Date: CleanWaterFest Is Coming October 19 with Many, Many Beers
Water may be odorless and clear, but it makes a huge impact in the things we consume. Some might even say the key to great 'x' ('x' being coffee, bagels, whatever) is this neutral liquid. While it may not be the case in some instances, for beer, it's imperative.
That's the premise behind next week's CleanWaterFest being held at Whittier Law School. Of course, now you're wondering, "Why hold a beer event at a law school?" Well, Whitter is launching a Coastkeeper Environmental Water Law Clinic, and their dean is on Orange County Coastkeeper's board of directors. Their campus' grassy area with lots of free parking might also be incentive.
For every ticket purchased, 86-cents for each dollar will go towards Coastkeeper's environmental programming. A $35 ticket ($40 the day of the event) includes 10, 4-ounce pours from local microbreweries like Pizza Port, The Bruery, Haven Brewing and Noble Ale Works. Designated drivers can enjoy the festivities for a reduced rate. Socializing and surprises will take place between the hours of one and four o'clock.
Get your drink on in an Oktoberfest-like environment, then head out knowing you've still got the whole evening ahead of you. For more information regarding CleanWaterFest (and to purchase tickets), click here.
