Check out the first part of Sheri's interview over here. Then keep reading today's installment below . . .
Hardest lesson you've learned: That life is not fair.
Who designed your mural in the patio? Two artists. Coleen Dunkey did the first part, then it was finished by Carole Boller (who holds painting classes here on Thursday evenings).
Where did you grow up? Glendale, California.
What's your favorite childhood memory? Playing hide and go seek during the long summer nights.
What would you be doing if you weren't in the industry? Traveling and eating all kinds of different food. Love that!
Last thing you looked up online: Airfare to Texas.
When you're not in the restaurant, what are you doing in your free time? Taking our dog for walks. We love to take her to the beach so she can dig! Hanging out with friends. Going on a Duffy boat ride. RELAXING.
Do you have any skills that are not food-related? Networking, organizing and volunteering with business-related things, both with Balboa Island and the Restaurant Association.
Is there anything you'd like readers to know about your restaurant? Our restaurant is very special because of family! Our family here at Wilma's consists of several family members, including brothers, cousins, mothers, daughters and sons. We have all worked together for many years, and it works beautifully.
We have many second generation employees who are on staff, including my own. We extend this feeling to our family of customers. We have watched so many families grow over the years, so we welcome your family to ours at Wilma's Patio!
