Chris Sarkissian is best known for founding a local pizzeria chain known as Pepz. However, his background in cooking began with a Middle Eastern place in Anaheim named Al Khayam. So when Chris decided to venture 'backwards', he did so with years of entrepreneurship now under his belt. Already one of our favorite cuisines, we crawled along the 91 to not only interview Sarkissian, but check out his menu.
Our mom always said we had expensive taste, and this top entry is no exception. Their tenderloin stands out in a menu of creature comforts like halloumi grilled cheese and garlicky quail. It's a luxurious cut of Australian lamb, seasoned and prepared expertly so that every chunk from its skewer is perfectly moist. We are satisfied every time we order this dish. And this coming from someone who prefers trying something new when we dine out.
We've already recommended Medii to friends and co-workers, and they come back with content sighs. Their shawerma and tapas may be fine for the casual diner, but lamb tenderloin should be requested when it's time to celebrate.
