New Chicken and Waffles Joint Opens in La Habra

Except for the occasional Octomom update, we don't write about La Habra much (and she doesn't even live there anymore),

It's so gosh-darned out there it's practically in LA Weekly's juridiction. Even though I grew up there, I remember eating out in Fullerton, Brea and Rowland Heights more than I did in the city tha's most famous for Nixon's first law office.

Things have changed over the years, though. The dining scene has gotten more interesting. G Burger is great. There's a mess of Korean joints worthy of Garden Grove, and now, apparently in the shell of a defunct Korean restaurant comes Mrs. Bea's Lousiana Chicken and Waffles, which serves, um, well, I think you've already figured that out. They also offer waffle sandwiches, gumbo, and bananas fosters for dessert.

It opened this past weekend at 1299 S Harbor Blvd., La Habra, CA 90631.

I haven't gone to investigate because, like I said, it's so gosh-darned out there.
