Jenny Lane

Professional wrestler. Lane was plucked out of a crowd at one of Rick Bassman's wrestling shows. “He said, 'Look at the girl! She's going nuts! We have to get her in the show.'” Lane joined Bassman's Ultimate Pro Wrestling in September; by November, she had attracted the attention of the WWF. Wrestling as Looney Lane, a “nutty schoolgirl,” Lane does Bassman's shows and acts as his director of photography. On top of that, she's already taped a tryout spot for the WWF and is just waiting for a call. “It's like an audition,” she says. “You do your best, and then you hope they find a spot for you.” Breakfast: Lane likes the Sugar Shack in Huntington Beach: “I like the fact that you can sit outside and just watch the Huntington Beach scene go by as you eat, and the service is awesome. I'm a regular bacon-and-eggs kind of girl. I know I'm supposed to eat healthy for my training, but I need my bacon and eggs.” She makes her healthy comeback at lunch, when she goes to Wahoo's. “It's about as healthy as you can eat. You know, it's fast food without the guilt. I think it's my all-time favorite. I love the burritos—I love that there's nothing fried in them.” For dinner, she loves El Matador because it reminds her a lot of home. “It's a hole in the wall, and you can't get any better Mexican food. I'm from Las Vegas, and it reminds me of the restaurants back home. It's as good as it gets.” Sugar Shack 2131⁄2 Main St. Huntington Beach (714) 536-0355 / Wahoo's fish taco has several Orange County locations, and they're all damn good / El Matador 1768 Newport Blvd. Costa Mesa (949) 645-1771 [SL]
