Yes, please! May we have another?

We doubt you're one to delay planning your mom's (or mother-in-law's, for some of us) special day. So if you know somebody who hasn't, this is for them. And since ladies deserve only the best, we went the fancy schmancy route. Now go make that call; we can't do all the work. Well, maybe for a fee . . .

Chef Alan Greeley is the man, and we don't care if we sound like a broken record. His meals are executed with thought and precision off Newport Boulevard. There is a cozy, rustic charm to The Golden Truffle, making it ideal for families with good taste. His three brunch courses include sweet snap pea soup with pancetta creme fraiche, sauteed Tasmanian salmon with Camambert herb salad and lemon virgin olive oil, and a double dark chocolate pot de creme with crushed strawberries. They say reservations are a must for the $46 meal. (949) 645-9970.
Quinoa and avocado salad is an additional option

Elevated Indian cuisine may not have crossed your mind for Mother's Day. Office workers are accustomed to lunch buffets, but Crystal Cove Promenade's posh establishment is ready to educate you beyond tikka masala. If the guest of honor prefers seafood or vegetarian options, look no further. You'll still find meaty dishes like lamb seekh kabob, but charbroiled swordfish and coconut prawn curry sound better. All $45 meals are served with smoked eggplant, black lentils and tandoori bread or rice. And don't forget the full bar. (949) 715-8338.Next Page
