The second branch of Capital Noodle Bar experienced soft opening over the weekend at 3033 Bristol Street. And if that address sounds sort of familiar, that's because it's also the same plaza as The Halal Guys. Taking over the Orchid Restaurant space, this is an upgrade from CNB's original Irvine spot. Their official grand opening is slated for Monday, December 21.
Spacious and moody with dark wood accents, we anticipate bustling lunch business, plus overflow from its neighbors. What we like about this particular location is CNB's ability to seat larger groups (and more people in general, when compared to other dining rooms in the plaza). Their take-out game is already strong, and with the complimentary valet option in effect, there's little reason not to visit.
Menu-wise, it is almost identical to Irvine, with the exception of a solitary test item. Sliced Wagyu beef and rice noodle soup ($11.95) may appear on all three menus if it does well here. Did we say three? James Tea happened to mention construction in Brea begins next month. You're welcome, North County.
