Hand pie-cranking Pie Not opens its doors at 7 am. If you're looking for something to replace that measly protein bar you call breakfast, try their Drunken Cow Pie with an order of coffee.
The mini-beef pie comes packed with pearl onions and generous chunks of steak braised in red wine and garlic. Although "mini," the Drunken Cow is heavy and something to enjoy at your own pace as you bite your way through the flaky, puff pastry crust.
Note: don't you dare try putting any ketchup on any of these pies. While it's common practice to drown Australian hand pies in tomato sauce, it's an act reserved for those filled with tasteless, overcooked meat. Plus, their beef pies are like a portable pot roast, and you wouldn't eat pot roast with ketchup, right? Well, if it's 3 am on a Saturday, I understand...
