What You Missed: Uncommon Burlesque, Weezer, Patchwork Festival, Matt Costa


What'd you do this weekend? Did it involve some pre-Thanksgiving burlesque? Ours did! This long holiday weekend, we saw Uncommon Burlesque in Newport, Weezer perform the Blue Album in Los Angeles, crafty DIY-ers at the Patchwork Festival, Matt Costa perform a hometown show at the House of Blues, danced along to Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys and shopped at Midnight Madness at the Camp. With the tagline of “Bringing you a terrific spread,” Wednesday night's line-up included, of course, the very gorgeous Dizzy Von Damn! (Miss Viva Las Vegas 2008), along with Panama Red, Sophia Sirena, Jessabelle Thunder, Red Snapper and Tori Adorable. The pre-Thanksgiving burlesque took place at the Commonwealth Lounge Newport Beach. See all the images here.


Patchwork Festival, which is a vendor fair celebrating all things arts N crafts and DIY, took place at 2202 N. Main St. in Santa Ana on Sunday. See the slideshow here.

Weezer performed the Blue Album (plus some bonus faves!) in its entirety on Friday night at the Gibson Amphitheater. Best Coast opened. See the slideshow here!


Stores stayed open late at the Camp in Costa Mesa for their annual Midnight Madness event on Saturday. DJ Stayproper, DJ NVG, DJ Velvet Touch provided entertainment. Click here to see the full set of photos.
