You're the bitch on the bike who knocked down my 60-year-old friend on the path near the Huntington Beach pier on a recent November Saturday. Deeply concerned, you did let the woman use your cell phone to call her husband. But, being a busy gal, you took off. Does the phrase hit and run mean anything to you? Seems apt somehow. Oh well, not to worry. A nearby gentleman who witnessed the collision—and who got a pretty decent description of you, I might add—helped her back to the pier to meet her hubby and get her to the hospital. She'll survive, I'm sure you'll be glad to know: just a fractured collarbone and several other injuries. Old people: so fragile and yet so slow to move out of your way when you're in a rush. Let this be a lesson to them.
