The first of four DUI/drivers license checkpoints conducted by the Garden Grove Police Department is tonight at 13201 Magnolia St.
The operation begins at 9 p.m. and continues until 3 a.m. Saturday.
The goal, says the department, is to reduce the number of people killed and injured in alcohol-involved crashes by removing offenders from the streets and educating everyone else about the dangers of impaired driving.
The other upcoming checkpoints are:
- 9 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday at Garden Grove Boulevard and Yockey Street.
