UPDATED: As reported yesterday, Thrice will indeed perform today, Wednesday, Aug. 4, Rome (from Sublime), along with the Dirty Heads, will be performing Friday.
Thrice just announced via their official Twitter account that they are set to perform tomorrow in Huntington Beach as a part of the Nike ID Primo Moments event at the Motel No Tell. Nike is one of the official sponsors of the U.S. Open of Surfing. The event begins at 3:30 p.m. and only the first 200 people to arrive will be granted entrance.
The Motel No Tell is a relatively new concept Nike has brought to Huntington Beach, renting out an old motel for a period of time and opening it up to athletes and other invited guests, while also showing off their products. Nike did the same last year in San Clemente, according to the OC Register.

And according to their official calendar, Nike has also invited the Dirty Heads and
Sublime With Rome, part of this week's Weekly cover boys, to perform a set this Friday at 5 p.m. No other details are offered, but the entire situation is a little strange, seeing as it conflicts with the official U.S. Open of Surfing schedule, which has Cobra Starship and Street Drum Corps performing at 4 p.m.
We'll keep you updated as more details are released.
