The Doors' L.A. Woman is getting a 40th anniversary make-over. L.A. Woman was the band's 6th album and the last Jim Morrison recorded before his death. It was released in April, 1971. Morrison died in July, 1971. On Nov. 25, Rhino Records will release a new 2CD version of the classic Doors album.

The 40th anniversary edition has been completely remastered and features slightly different cuts of some of the songs. “Love Her Madly” has an extended fade-out, making in 18 seconds longer than the original version; “Cars Hiss By My Window” has had an additional verse added making it 4:58 instead of 4:12; “L.A. Woman” includes the guitar intro “My Country Tis Of Thee,” adding 10 seconds to the track.
The double disc set comes with a bonus disc featuring covers of Willie Dixon's “(You Need Meat) Don't Go No Further” and Barrett Strong's “Money (That's What I Want).”
Also included is a brand new track by megastar dubstep producer Skrillex with Ray Manzarek, John Densmore and Robby Krieger, the three surviving members of The Doors. Manzarek–who co-founded the group with Jim Morrison in 1965–calls it 'the first new Doors track of the 21st Century.'

How can a song with Skrillex replacing Jim Morrison ever be considered a new Doors track?
Sounds like a total disaster in the making. Wonder when it's gonna finally be time to stop exploiting Morrison–it's only been 40 years since his death!
