New CRSSD Festival Coming to San Diego in March with Chromeo, Empire of the Sun
By: Andy Hermann Yet another major regional music festival is coming to the Southland: CRSSD Festival, which will arrive in San Diego March 14 and 15. Co-produced by Goldenvoice and San Diego concert promoter CRSSD FNGRS, the festival will feature an EDM-heavy lineup, including headliners Chromeo, Classixx, DJ Harvey, Flight Facilities and Empire of the Sun.
Two things really make this festival stand out from the pack: its bayside location at San Diego's Waterfront Park, and a well-curated lineup of "forward-thinking electronic artists" (according to a press release) that should attract a slightly older and more sophisticated crowd than EDC and Hard. Among the many big-name house, techno and progressive DJs scheduled to spin: Jamie Jones (also performing with Hot Natured, his electro/disco/house collaboration with Lee Foss), Pete Tong, Seth Troxler, Lee Burridge and Maceo Plex. See below for the full lineup.
Tickets for CRSSD Festival go on sale Saturday, Jan. 3 at crssdfest.com.
