That big red light you will see from miles around coming from the center of Orange County tonight and tomorrow night is not an LED tactical light being used by aliens to target us.
Well, not this time it isn't.
And when later Friday that red light turns pink, it does not mean you have boozed so hard your pink elephants have turned into beams of light.
Well, not this … oh, never mind.

What you'll be seeing is a special light coming from the 252-foot-tall Supreme Scream at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park.
It will be lit red–the color of love–to mark Valentine's Day. Then late Friday evening the glow turns pink in support of “Knott's For the Cure,” a campaign benefiting Susan G. Komen Orange County. And it will stay pink through Monday evening.
In your face, NFL!
The theme park and Susan G. Komen Orange County are raising money for breast cancer awareness, services and research through a specially priced “Pink Ticket” and limited edition specially designed “pink” merchandise through March 31.
The $39 “Pink Ticket” for theme park admission is only available online at www.knotts.com.
