The New York Times reported that the Immigration and Customs
Enforcement, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, seized a number of sites that
“either hosted unauthorized copies of films and music or allowed users
to search for them elsewhere on the Internet.”

According to the ICE, there were
court-ordered seizure warrants against a number of domain names, but there are no additional details available for the ongoing investigation.
Torrent-finder.com, onsmash.com, rapgodfathers.com and
dajaz1.com–all specializing in music–were all seized. At least 70 other sites related to counterfeit clothing, DVDs and other
goods were also seized.
