Wait, What?

Few can argue that Richard Linklater created a modern classic with Dazed and Confused , a film that was marketed as a feel-good, '70s-era, teenage drug-and-sex comedy-which it kind of is-but it also contains enough emotional truth to make it bitterly poignant for people who came of age in the suburbs in almost any generation. Featuring an ensemble cast and very loose plot, Dazed and Confused closely mimics American Graffiti in structure, following a group of teenagers on the last day of school in 1976. Frequently hilarious, always honest, Dazed and Confused remains one of Linklater's career highlights.
