The electronics industrycommonly thought to be comprised of pocket-protecting gadget whoresis a club just as elitist as any hipster dance party . . . only electro dudes of the keypad and USB sort rely more on brain activity than fancy footwork. This years Orange County Electronics Show brings Methode Electronics, purveyors of Bus Bar (no, not the godsend anti-anxiety pill) systems and torque-sensing solutions, to present a sci-fi showroom on wheels. An electronics social will follow a keynote given by Digi-Key Vice President Chris Beeson, and as an added (and sort of inexplicable) bonus, Jeff Cook, Grammy-winning guitarist for country-rock group Alabama, will be on hand signing autographs and showing his love for all things that go beep-boop-beep.
Sept. 10-11, 10 a.m., 2008
