The 1940's Radio Hour

Step back in time for some wholesome American entertainment – when exceptional songwriters and singers ruled the roost – and experience the final holiday broadcast of the fictional Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade, live from New York’s WOV radio station. Written by Walton Jones and directed by Joe Lauderdale, the Radio Hour is filled with dancing, radio drama, and those old-time tunes, featuring the hits “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” and “Strike Up the Band,” among others. There’s no better time to get your sentimental journey back on for the holidays and leave the modern world behind – no twerking allowed.

Fridays, Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Dec. 5. Continues through Dec. 20, 2015
(Expired: 12/20/15)
