There are dozens of open mic nights around the OC featuring poetry and acoustic performances – but where, o where, are the yarn spinners, as in sassy men and women who sit on porches, drink ‘shine, and tell tall, tall tales. Well, Red Guerilla Storytime Theatre wants your fantastical stories of things that may or may not have happened to you. Like that time you walked into Starbucks and there was NO LINE and your name was spelled correctly on your mocha frappe latte ice thingy (liar!). Or that time that you walked through La Brisas during the lunch rush with the back of your dress tucked into your pantyhose (so real). Mining your mishaps for malcontents and rocking your raconteur chops brings tens of seconds of pleasure to all. Go break those legs.
