James Taylor, Carole King

Since March, singer-songwriter legends Carole King and James Taylor have been giving helping hands to down and troubled fans in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and much of North America on their “Troubadour Reunion Tour,” but now they’re headed back to within an hour of the storied venue that inspired the trek. You see, it’s the 40th anniversary of their first show together at the Troubadour (even if Taylor was too hopped on goofballs at that point to actually remember playing) and for the occasion they’ve been performing all the classics you’d expect: “Carolina in My Mind,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” and “I Feel the Earth Move.” This is the last scheduled date on the tour, so folk freaks best make their way to the Honda Center.

Tue., July 20, 7:30 p.m., 2010
