Francisco the Man

It's been a long time since the IE's Francisco the Man released new music. Like, more than three years ago-long. Usually, that would be the death knell of a local band, but they're pushing forward, now trimmed to a trio (they used to have a guitarist in Fullerton and a guitarist in Long Beach, but now they're all Riverside County residents) and with a new five-song EP, With Friends Like You. The new stuff is so good, though, that you can forgive the wait. Highlighted by “Do You Remember,” a six-and-a-half minute growing-up anthem, it's clear the band has matured quite a bit in the interim. (Well, one would hope.) This show is with two Orange County faves—Moostache and the New Limb, the latter of which just released their first full-length—and Portland's Archaeology.
