Hailing from central Europe, Polivka finds influence with Slovak fairytales, Greek mythology and Western literature, developing a mythical and sublime concept of the ocean. The goal of the City of Buena Park’s Exhibiting Artist Program is to nurture working relationships and partnerships between artists, presenters, arts organizations, and the greater Buena Park community.
