Stuffed and Unstrung

If Avenue Q proved one thing, it’s this: foul-mouthed puppets are a hit in a theater setting. Thus we have Stuffed and Unstrung, an adults-only improv comedy show that opened off-Broadway earlier this year to glowing reviews, and is now headed to the opposite coast. The show has six human performers and a staggering 80 puppets—and not just any random piece of felt you can stick your hand into, these are genuine Jim Henson Company products, and the show is under the Henson Alternative label. Plus, Stuffed is hosted by Patrick Bristow, who you possibly might remember from his roles on Ellen and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Despite being Henson products, don’t call these puppets “Muppets”—that may lead to a cease and desist from Disney.
