Youth Lagoon at the Constellation Room Tonight, CANCELED

We just heard from the Constellation Room owner Jon Reiser that Youth Lagoon's Trevor Powers, featured in this week's issue, is ill. Tonight's show is canceled. According to Powers' publicist Daniel Gill, he was in Mexico for a show and got sick with a bad stomach bug there.

According to our writer Reyan Ali,

Youth Lagoon's The Year of Hibernation captures desolation in its purest sonic form. Everything about the 2011 debut record from Boise
resident Trevor Powers–his fragile, far-off vocals; the careful,
melodic pitter-patter of washed-out synths; the unfinished,
hollow-sounding production–screams, “All I want is a friend or two.
Please.”

If you wanted to be that friend after the show, don't despair. Reiser says he hopes that Youth Lagoon can reschedule, so stay tuned for details.
