OC Pioneers Who Were Klan Members: George Bird and E.P. Rudy, Brea Constable and Marshal

Man, who WASN'T a Klan member in the early days of Brea, ESPECIALLY in
its power structre? (Actually, there were a couple of souls–maybe
eight?). You can see below the many Kluckers who helped lead Brea in its
early days, who made sure it was such a gabacho town that it makes the Balboa Bay Club seem about as gabacho as SanTana.

If this intro sounds familiar, it's because it's the one I used two weeks ago for my profile of Brea's first city marshal. So why not use it again for two more Brea boys in white hoods, George Bird
]

Bird was Brea's first constable, serving from 1916 to 1920 then working as a contractor; Rudy was a marshal at some point during the 1920s. I'll find out E.P's full name later today, but I got a book to promote…enjoy!

Tune in every Monday around 5 p.m. for the latest entry exposing Orange County city fathers who were Klan members!
