In astrology, new moons represent the beginning of a lunar cycle; in July, the new moon is in Cancer and represents a shift in sentimental moods and love. While you non-believers can scoff and shrug off this as superstitious bullshit, you can still enjoy the positive vibes that San Clemente art gallery The Yurt will provide in honor of this celestial celebration. With the opening of the group exhibition 'New Moon', artists such as Lindsay Buchman, Chantal DeFelice, Yevgeniya Mikhailik, Yumi Sakagawa and more will display their own unique art that delves into the theme of new beginnings. The evening also features sound healing, music, cocktails and prize giveaways. And since this show marks the launch of the Yurt gallery, you can bet it will already be off to a good start.
