No need to do any undressing with your eyes at the exposed figures in Las Laguna Gallery's new art exhibition Nakedness, for the participating artists each explore the human body in various states of undress in their respective art works. And while art history has pretty much shown us the nether regions of Michelangelo’s David and the bare bosoms of Venus, you'd think there wasn't much more to explore in nudity? Not so! Sure, you have your token model poses in contrasted light and gesture paintings of the human figure in movement, but there are various works alluding to the question of nakedness, and what it means to be or feel exposed in modern life. Check out the works by these worldwide artists who indulge in painting, photography, mixed media, and illustration to bring new perceptions of our outer physical shells.
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays-Sundays, 11 a.m. Starts: July 2. Continues through July 31, 2015
