The Orange County District Attorney’s office filed charges today against three family members involved in a July 6 Toontown beat down at Disneyland. Anaheim police claimed the family was uncooperative in their initial investigation. Detectives did a double-take when they saw viral video of the violent altercations online, completing and submitting the case to the OCDA for review and prosecution three days after it happened.

Avery Desmond-Edwinn Robinson, 35, faces the most charges in the fallout from the Toontown brawl. The Las Vegas man, shown wearing a red shirt, faces five felonies and nine misdemeanors. He can be seen in the viral video attacking his sister, brother-in-law and girlfriend. Robinson also stands accused of endangering his child and three others with the group at the time of the fight.

“I’m ready to go to jail tonight,” Robinson said on video during the altercation.

Robinson remains at Orange County Jail and is expected to be arraigned today at North Justice Center in Fullerton. If convicted of all charges, he faces a maximum sentence of seven years and four months in state prison.

As the charges reveal, the Toontown tape shot by a parkgoer didn’t catch everything.

After park security escorted Robinson and all other family members out, the dispute continued inside a Disneyland parking structure. That’s where Robinson allegedly tried to hit a cast member with his vehicle on his way out. He also threatened his sister and brother-in-law by pointing his fingers at them like a gun.

Other family members face lesser charges, including Andrea Robinson, 40, of Compton. She has five misdemeanors against her, including four battery charges for attacking her brother Avery, his girlfriend and a Disneyland worker.

Last but not least is Daman Petrie, Andrea’s husband. The 44-year-old Compton resident squared up against his wife’s brother but appeared to punch his girlfriend in the face, instead, at one point during the minutes-long fracas. He stands to be sentenced to up to six months in jail if convicted of the misdemeanor battery count against him.

“The Orange County District Attorney’s office does not tolerate domestic violence or child endangerment anywhere,” says district attorney Todd Spitzer in a press release announcing the charges.

And that includes the Happiest Place on Earth.
