Everlast is best known for scattering the spit with hip-hop act House of Pain. Following that band's break up, he branched out into folkier fare hitting heavy radio rotation with the song “What it's Like.” With his distinctive gravelly voice, he relies more on the acoustic guitar than the sampler.
