The headline pretty much says it all.
According to a two-paragraph press release issued Sept. 2 by the Orange County Sheriff's Dept., Bryan Scott, a 49-year-old man, perished while being treated for an undisclosed condition inside the jail ward of the UCI Medical Center. The press release states that Scott had been arrested Aug. 21 by the Orange County Probation Dept. for an unspecified probation violation.

Lest the conspiracy rumor mill here at the Weekly's world headquarters start
spinning tales of official wrongdoing, the good folks on Flower Street
want everyone to know that this death is of the natural causes
variety.
“The death does not appear suspicious,” the release states. “In
a case like this, standard protocols require the Orange County District
Attorney's Office to handle the investigation. An autopsy is pending by
the Coroner's office.”
We'll update the story as more information becomes available.
