The little record shop on Broadway in Downtown Santa Ana known as Beatnik Bandito has been hosting some major local talent lately with it's recent slab of live performances by underground new comers from all over Southern California. Tonight's line-up features Costa Mesa's Ashing Velvets, who rock the fuzzy blues guitar sound alongside singer Rebel Coyne's wispy vocals; Loko Ono deliver their gothic queercore punk all the way from Santa Maria, whilst Nico Bones gets trashy with their stripped-down, lo-fi blues punk sound from Mission Viejo. These bands are still enjoying pre-buzz band notoriety, yet still receiving plenty of attention via Internet, but it's your chance to catch them and brag about seeing them in an intimate venue before they get famous— we called it here first!
