Immortal Technique and Talib Kweli, two of hip-hop’s most socially conscious rappers, are joining forces. Kweli made his mark with clever rhymes as part of Black Star with Mos Def and dropped the classic solo album Reflection Eternal. Immortal Technique is hip-hop’s militant martyr with leftist lyricism rampaging throughout his discography. Fashioning themselves ‘The People’s Champions’ (what’s The Rock got to say about that?) the rebel rappers are teaming up to tour making a stop at the Observatory in Santa Ana along the way. Both have highly anticipated albums promised soon with Tech working on “Middle Passage” and Kweli readying “Radio Silence.” Now go and raise a fist!
