Ah, craft beer and live music— it's a winning combination being celebrated today at the Rock Star Beer Festival at Yost Theater. While liquor is usually a complement to see live bands, this festival flips the switch to make the libations front and center of the event. Indeed, breweries from around the country will showcase samples of their products for discerning beer drinkers, from local favorites Bootlegger's Brewery to national companies Modern Times, Stone IPA, Shock Top, and more. And onstage, you'll hear not one but two bands like Chicago punk quartet Mest and quintessential No Doubt Tribute band No Duh. The best part? Besides getting a taste of your favorite brew, it's all for a cause: this event is helping to fund research to find a cure for Rett syndrome. So drink up (responsibly!) and feel hella good.
