This Saturday: 1st Annual L.A. Street Food Fest

Normally, we wouldn't post on food happenings in L.A. But this L.A. Street Food Fest, which brings together just about all of L.A.'s hip food trucks, seemed a notable exception. For one, it seems to be the event that coalesces the craze into one single parking lot. For another, it seems like it would be lots of fun (provided the cops don't bust in and break up the festivities like the last time someone attempted this) Not only will there be food from 35 roach coaches with more choices than your typical mall food court, there will be booths selling wares from local artists and designers.

Yes, it still seems to defeat the whole purpose when you actually have to drive to a mobile food vendor. Gustavo Arellano, always the voice of reason, had this to say: “Screw all this. You want a street fest? Drive down Main Street in SanTana.”
