This is Gabriel San Roman with your morning traffic report: Activists with the Orange County DREAM Team and ACLAMO have dropped three banners along the 5 freeway in Anaheim, Santa Ana and San Juan Capistrano at different rush hour times between 6-10 a.m. The coordinated effort is part of the 'Right to Dream' national day of action campaign taking place on the anniversary of the landmark 1954 Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court ruling.
It also marks two years since undocumented students and activists staged a sit-down civil disobedience action inside the Tucson, Arizona offices of Senator John McCain.

Youth gathered along Magnolia Avenue in Anaheim held signs reading
'Right to Education, Right to Dream' and 'Obama You Can't Court Us and
Deport Us.' In San Juan Capistrano, members of the Saddleback College
student group ACLAMO unfurled a banner saying “South Orange County is
Coming Out, Undocumented & Unafraid.”
With no federal DREAM Act and S-COMM wreaking havoc, an eight-point Declaration of Dreams was issued including 'the right to live our lives without fear' and 'the right to education' in articulating the values informing today's efforts. Later on, a march and rally is slated to take place at 4 p.m. in San Juan Capistrano with the corner of La Zanja and Camino Capistrano as the starting point.
Until then, South County commuters driving along in your ubiquitous steel grey Mercedes, I hope you honked in support!
