When Westminster police caught up with Edgar Antonio Lucha in September 2010, he was in a Compton drug rehab.
But, according to the state crime database, the 25-year-old's fingerprints matched those a naked man drugged out of his mind had left under a 10-year-old boy's bed a few nights earlier.
Last week, Lucha pleaded guilty to being that man.

Specifically, he pleaded guilty to burglary and street terrorism, which he blamed on drug abuse. He'll get four years to dry out in a state prison cell.
A man living in the 6000 block of Shawnee Road in Westminster had swapped
bedrooms with his 10-year-old son. Around 3:30 in the morning, the father felt movement under the bed. He peaked beneath the bed
frame to discover a nude Lucha looking back at him.
Lucha repeatedly apologized, explaining that he was under the influence of drugs, before quickly dressing and fleeing while the startled resident dialed 9-1-1. Officers
arrived to find the ladder used to enter the
home via an unlocked second-story window–and, more importantly, fingerprints.
When cops confronted Lucha in rehab, he surrendered without incident–but with his clothes on.
