A few days ago, tipster Craig gave us a sneak peak of Il Dolce, the Italian pizzeria that took the place of Pasta Connection, which had been at that spot since 1984. In late 2007, the latter shuttered due to increased rental rates imposed by their new landlord.
But this week, the local favorite has reopened right across from its former home at 1969 Harbor Blvd. Daily Pilot has the scoop on their story.
So instead of one Italian restaurant on one Costa Mesa corner, we have two! A few more Italian purveyors, maybe even a gelato joint, and OC has its own Little Italy.
