Quik, to the box office! For the second time in less than six months g-funk originator DJ Quik is coming to the stage at The Grove of Anaheim this Friday, March 13th at 8:30 p.m. Tix are $26.50. The event, aptly titled “Quik's Groove” showcases the Compton-born rapper in front of an Orchestra as he spits the hits. Let that sink in for a second. Quik tracks like “Way 2 Fonky” and “We Still Party” with some authentic cello flavor…nice. Opening acts include Imani Walker and DJ Simon Sez and “very special guests”. I'll leave you to guess who the “guests” might be. I know I can guess at least one. Can anybody say AMG? See you at The Grove.
In the mean time, since you're probably wasting time at work anyway, take a trip back to '95 for a sec and soak in a Quik classic.
