New York natives Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser have hit it big in '80s synth pop wonderland as Holy Ghost!, a duo whose music features futuristic disco beats and club remixes of top-40 hits by MGMT, Moby and Phoenix, among others. Since their breakthrough hit “Hold On,” Holy Ghost!'s popularity has gone global, being featured on numerous Kitsuné compilation albums and music review blogs citing their flair for funk and R&B flourishes. For a good time, check out their dance-inducing tracks “Static On The Wire” and “Do It Again.” Later this year they'll be touring with the grandaddy of electronic dance groups, New Order, but tonight at the Observatory you can check them out with fellow synth pop duo Classixxx.
